Adrienne D. Atzemis
Adrienne Atzemis is an associate professor of pediatrics and director of both the Section of Child Abuse Pediatrics and the Child Abuse Pediatrics Fellowship Program at the Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She was formerly an assistant professor of pediatrics and director of the Pediatric Forensic Medicine Fellowship Program at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She earned her doctorate of medicine from the Creighton University School of Medicine at Omaha and holds a bachelor of science in biology from John Carroll University at Cleveland. Dr. Atzemis is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and holds membership with a number of professional societies and committees dedicated to pediatric medicine and child welfare, including the Missouri Sexual Assault Response Team Development Committee and the Missouri Task Force on the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse. For over one decade, Dr. Atzemis has been called upon frequently to deliver presentations and lectures at a various professional conferences and to provide expert witness testimony at trial.
