Christine Hallas
Christine Hallas is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner with 20 years’ experience working in pediatrics. Upon completing her bachelor of science in nursing she was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Christine’s nursing career has centered around the care of children in the Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Emergency Department, and medical-forensic evaluation of child maltreatment. She advanced through her career earning certification as a SANE-P (sexual assault nurse examiner-pediatrics) and forensic nurse examiner. Christine has been involved in over 1200 medical forensic evaluations, provided peer reviews, and testified in criminal hearings and trials. She has provided training to law enforcement and healthcare providers on team response to child maltreatment and the medical forensic exam. Christine has held membership in the American Nurses’ Association, International Association of Forensic Nurses, Academy on Violence and Abuse, and the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children.
