Jaclyn Rodriguez, BSN, BS, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P

Jaclyn Rodriguez is a practicing SANE, Emergency Room nurse and CEO of ForMed Insight LLC, a forensic and emergency nursing consulting business.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago. She has been practicing as a Registered Nurse in Emergency Rooms throughout the Chicagoland area since 2003 and a SANE since 2005. Jaclyn became a Nationally Certified SANE-A in 2006 and SANE-P in 2022. Jaclyn served as the Statewide SANE Coordinator for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office for over 8 years.  During her time as SANE Coordinator, she provided education to over 20,000 healthcare providers, law enforcement, advocates, and others on topics related to sexual assault and forensic nursing. As part of the Attorney General’s Office, she participated in writing key pieces of legislation that are shaping the care of sexual assault patients throughout the state, including legislation for law enforcement, hospitals, and health care professionals. Jaclyn created a one-day Foundation training to ensure that anyone coming into contact with a sexual assault patient knows what can be done to improve the experience for the patient and begin to understand the complexity of working with a victim of violence. She is an active member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses and the Academy of Forensic Nursing, participating on multiple committees. She has provided expert witness testimony on multiple cases both as a practicing SANE and as an outside consultant.

Tamara Jackson, MSN, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P

Tamara Jackson is a Board-Certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner for adults and adolescents. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She earned her Master’s degree from Chamberlain University in 2018.

Jackson is an innovative and driven nurse with more than 20 years in the healthcare system and more than 15 years of experience with the emergency department. She is the System SANE-Clinical Programs Coordinator of Amita Health Chicago Metro Region. Jackson helped the organization build and complete policy and procedures, implement, educate, and advocate. She has managed multiple sites within the organization with significant change integration, implementation of SANE Program. She has been involved in the development of policy and procedures, documentation tools, and advanced practice techniques aligning with the state of Illinois Sexual Assault Emergency Treatment Act (SASETA), and promoting the incorporation of forensic photography in the documentation of sexual assault, sexual abuse, child abuse, and strangulation patients.

While assisting with leadership, Jackson worked closely with other senior leadership nurses to ensure a smooth transition. She was instrumental in the organization’s Strangulation Policy and procedure. She is leading the system and the community in her clinical practice for the identification of human trafficking, elderly abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, and assault.

Laura Albee, MD, FACEP

Laura Albee is an Emergency Medicine Physician in Omaha, Nebraska. She is the medical director of a Forensic Nursing Program which serves two hospitals to provide forensic nursing care to Omaha and surrounding counties. She is also the medical director for HEAL Omaha, a street medicine program for unsheltered patients. Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Science – Biotechnology in 1999 from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. She graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2005 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In 2008 she completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Michigan State University in Saginaw, MI. Laura belongs to a number of professional organizations including the American College of Emergency Physicians in which she has served as a board member of the Nebraska Chapter from 2015-2020, and president of the Nebraska Chapter from 2017-2019. She was involved at the national level voting on policies and decisions that affect Emergency Medicine and also met with legislators in Washington, D.C. to discuss health care policy. She is a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American Medical Association. Laura’s experience is best displayed through the wide range of professional roles that she has occupied throughout her 16 years of health care experience: an emergency medicine physician, a medical director of forensic nursing and street medicine, international and wilderness medicine in Central America, and even as a special deputy sheriff on a dive rescue unit. Laura currently holds a license as an ABEM Board Certified Emergency Physician, a Nebraska Medical License, and a Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance License.
